Look around, folks, the signs are everywhere. Socialists pervade our political institutions. Our military is stretched thin. Our currency, the very soul of a country, is becoming more worthless everyday. We are pissing off a lot more nations that otherwise could be friends and trade partners. Police are using extreme force with civilians for insignificant matters. Children can not hug each other in public. Children are being monitored electronically more and more, not only what they buy for lunch, but also where they are at all times. The Department of Homeland Security can come to home in the middle of the night, arrest you, detain you, try you, and convict you all without a lawyer, presentation of evidence, or a jury. You could be summarily tortured and executed without any legal recourse to defend yourself. . .the list goes on.

We have become everything that America is not. We have become a Socialistic Police State. Maybe you don't quite see that picture yet, but you can see that the lines are starting to crack, and the facade is falling away. You do not know exactly what is beneath that facade, but I do. It's been done over and over countless times throughout history. We are being taken over.

There's many little things to be done about it right now, but the main one is to find about Ron Paul, what he stands for, and most importantly, prove him wrong. Because if you prove him wrong, you prove me wrong, and so many other people across the country. But if we're all right, then we have very little time left to save our country, atleast the country as we know it.

1950 Defense Production Act

Act of August 29, 1916
authorizes the Secretary of the Army, in time of war, to take possession of any transportation system for transporting troops, material, or any other purpose related to the emergency.

International Emergency Economic Powers Act
enables the President to seize the property of a foreign country or national. These powers were transferred to FEMA in a sweeping consolidation in 1979.
