With such a background, and knowing about the Muslim practice of taqqiyah - deception about one's faith - I would not be surprised if Obama had strong sympathies to Islam. I cannot emphasize how dangerous it would be to have such an individual in major office. I also can't emphasize enough how important is this issue.

Hillary's team has questions about Obama's Muslim background

Are the American people ready for an elected president who was educated in a Madrassa as a young boy and has not been forthcoming about his Muslim heritage?

This is the question Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's camp is asking about Sen. Barack Obama.

An investigation of Mr. Obama by political opponents within the Democratic Party has discovered that Mr. Obama was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia. Sources close to the background check, which has not yet been released, said Mr. Obama, 45, spent at least four years in a so-called Madrassa, or Muslim seminary, in Indonesia.

"He was a Muslim, but he concealed it," the source said. "His opponents within the Democrats hope this will become a major issue in the campaign."

What concerns me greatly about Islamic influence in American politics is precisely what is happening in Germany and elsewhere.

THIS situation is why I say I cannot impress strongly enough how important is this issue. I am reminded of a recent article in "USA Today" stating that Americans get an "F" when it comes to religion. In my experience, Americans and others are particularly uneducated about Islam.

PLEASE take the time to read this series of articles about what is happening in Germany. A number of fervent Islamists have stated that Great Britain, Canada and America are next. I have little doubt that we will be seeing increasingly vocal demands for sharia law in the United States.

As I have great respect for the people on my lists and in my groups, I feel it is imperative that you all know about sharia law, since we WILL be dealing with it at some point.

Dijal Obama new world order whore?

Hi -

This issue of Islam and Obama are obviously very sore yet important points, as I have had a slew of messages running the gamut of vicious attacks on my person to extreme gratitude for daring to speak out.

So speak out on it I will do again.

A number of people thought it intelligent and rational to insult me with all sorts of vicious diatribes, including calling me a "racist" and "bitch" and shouting "f- you!" Ah, a very superior way of being, indeed.

In the first place, Islam is NOT a race, so such epithets constitute the epitome of ignorance and irrationality. It is completely asinine to call someone a "racist" who is criticizing an ideology that has wreaked havoc upon the planet and will continue to do so even further, so long as there are those who will threaten and call others vile epithets when they make observations about it.

Let me state it right here: Islam is not the "religion of peace," unless you consider THIS "peaceful":

I am frankly appalled at the ignorance displayed in these messages that are clearly designed to keep me from pointing out these horrors.

Another tactic has been to engage in frantic hand-waving to distract me to another issue. It's called "tu quoque," and it's a logical fallacy. Instead of condemning the bad within Islam, the fingers start pointing at everyone else, in this case, with the suggestion that I go learn about Christianity! Or Judaism, both of which I have been critiquing for over 20 years.

Then there's the contingent who somehow separates out politics from religion - within Islam?! - and then makes disparaging comments essentially that I should not worry my pretty little head about it, because I'm obviously incapable of understanding politics!

Well, kids, I've been politically aware since I was a very young child, having grown up with a mother who eventually served many years as a state legislator, so your infantile attempts at censoring me in that manner will simply not work. I was likely voting for a president while you were in diapers, and I spent quite a bit of time getting the Green Party in California on ballot, among many other things.

Fortunately, there have been a number of people who have been appreciative of what I'm doing - hurrah! Here's one response to my two earlier missives regarding Obama and Sharia Law:

"Thank you! I'm amazed. I've long been a fan. But in less than a few hours since joining your newsletter, you've sent two of the most important and impressive newsletters I've ever received on any subject."

And for those who might think sharia law isn't any threat to the U.S. now or later, right. Just keep telling yourself that, and go buy your prayer rug or your burkha.

In the meantime, I hope you will seriously consider what I have sent you regarding sharia law in Germany. I WILL be following up those articles with more about the Islamicization of Europe and other places, including Canada, where sharia law is being heavily pushed as we speak. If you think it won't cross the borders, you are wrong. If you don't think sharia law is a nightmare, you haven't studied it.

Since I continue to receive emails inaccurately recounting my previous message regarding Barack Obama, I feel the need to respond.

While I am being criticized for "not checking the facts," those who have written to me have themselves completely and utterly misread my words and claimed I am making "assertions." If you reread my original message, you will see that I did NOT make any "assertions" about Obama. I said that, in consideration of his background, I would not be surprised if Obama had "strong sympathies with Islam." I then asserted that such an individual - if he DID have "strong sympathies with Islam" - WOULD be dangerous in major office.

So, all those who have been jumping down my throat have in fact done so on a MISREADING of my words, setting up a strawman to knock down.

Morever, I did NOT say that Obama went to a madrassa or Islamic religious school, so all the hysterical pointing towards the sites debunking the claim he went to a madrassa is not necessary. I am well aware of the material designed to address this issue, including the articles by ABC, CNN and Snopes.

Despite the inaccurate reportage and ad homs slung my way regarding Obama being raised in a Muslim environment, Obama HIMSELF has discussed his Islamic background.

Although I haven't read it myself, Snopes reports that in his book "Dreams Of My Father" (142) Obama says:

"In Indonesia, I'd spent 2 years at a Muslim school, 2 years at a Catholic school. In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces during Koranic studies. In the Catholic school, when it came time to pray, I'd pretend to close my eyes, then peek around the room. Nothing happened. No angels descended."

In his later work, "The Audacity of Hope," Obama evidently stated the following:

"Without the money to go to the international school that most
expatriate children attended, I went to local Indonesian schools and ran the streets with the children of farmers, servants, tailors, and clerks."

So, Obama himself has stated that he went to a Muslim school, where he studied the Koran, and that he hung around with the locals, many of whom were presumably Muslim as well.

Here is a quote that might sum things up:

"He was born of a Muslim father, raised by a Muslim stepfather and received his early education at a Muslim school. That makes him a Muslim."

It sounds very much like that, up until him becoming a Christian, Barack Obama WAS a Muslim. If Obama is no longer a Muslim, is he not an apostate who would be targeted for death?

I would like to know what MUSLIMS are saying about Obama - do THEY consider him a Muslim? I would particularly be interested in what they are saying in PRIVATE, i.e., in Arabic or other language used by Muslims.

So, what's the buzz on Obama in inner Muslim circles?
