Eye witnesses place Hitler in his bunker while Russian troops were closing in on him from FOUR BLOCKS away. If he were able to escape the bunker, he would have needed to slip past an army which SURROUNDED Berlin.

The reason that most historians believe he killed himself and ordered the disposal of his body was not because he wanted "the last laugh in a war which was part of his master plan" or to "fool the Russians while he made his escape" but because he didn't want to suffer the same fate as Mussolini. He would leave behind no "symbol of defeat" (i.e a Hitler body or captured Hitler) for the victorious Russians to parade to the World.

If he survived (escaped) he could suffer that same fate...just at a later date! If he escaped, he would have no army protection outside of Berlin either...it was too much of a risk (even for him).

Hitler WAS a big risk taker (with the lives of his soldiers) but a propaganda risk such as this, would have been too much for him to consider a viable option at that stage!!! His closest aides repeatedly offered him escape routes from the bunker complex yet he repeatedly turned them down. He shot himself and ordered aides to burn his body in the courtyard of the Bunker complex...Bish, bosh, bash...job's a goodun!!!

April 30 1945 - the war for Germany was in it's final hours. Hitler undoubfully was passed recent information about Mussilini, and his wicked demize.

You have to realize this was a man who believed in his cause. He was eccentric, but determined. Hitler knew what the Russians would do to him if he was caught. This is the same man who only years before had bragged about 1000 generations of Nazi rule to come.

Adolf Hitler in these last moments of this Nazi Empire he'd envisioned and built watched while Berlin was being conquered by the Russians. Hitler was not known to be the type to retract prior statements or accept ANY form of defeat graciously. On April 29 1945 in the early hours of the morning following his last will and testiment he wanted to set an example of his leadership (now obviously criticized by many) - suicide was not only a physical escape from unavoidable destiny, but also mental anguise as well. His life and death was a black and white issue to him intertwined with his Socialistic Party.

As a select few high ranking Nazi officials DID escape and make it to South America, it's certain that Hitler likely could've but this was never in his mindset. However, in regards to Hitler's body, it's very likely he made certain before his death it (or Eva's) not be found. While likely that other bunker suicide victims like Martin Bormann and Dr. Goebbels bodies were burned in the garden and burried it is highly unlikely that Hitler and Eva's bodies were as well. They likely were burned (maybe in the garden) but burried elsewhere as to prevent prevent such 'trophies' as ever being found by the Allies.

Everything concidered, Hitler may not have killed himself in the bunker, but instead ordered himself shot/poisioned, but he did die in or near the bunker in mid afternoon April 30th 1945. His burial is the coverup, if one exists.

Himmler has been arested and he suicided in his jail. Hermann Georing has been arested in Munich, in a restaurant while he was eating, juged at nuremberg, he has been condamned to the death penalty. Rudolf Hess was captured in Great Britain in 1942, while he was trying some plot with the Duke of Windsor against the english crown that could have bring up a peace treaty between Germany and England. He has passed the rest of his life in the Landsberg jail of Berlin.

For some other Nazi officials, it was less obvious, like for Martin Bormann. He is supposed to be dead in Berlin in 1945. While there is a lot of chances that he has escaped by the subway and been taken in charge by the soviet tcheka. Bormann was a very strange nazi, that in the last days have been traited by Himmler and Goering like a betrayor. There are chances that he could have been in contact with the english secret service and with the russians too ! Goering have blamed the defeat on him, thinking that he was working for Stalin. In the last days of the reich there have been fights about who shall succeed to Hitler. Bormann was the favorite after Hess has leave Germany to england in 1942, when Goering blamed on him and Goebbles tried to get read of him. Then when Goering went to Munich, he declares himself the successor of Hitler. Then Hitler start his rage against his own ministers, thinking that he was surrounded by betrayers. Hitler was really sick, he had parkinson's and was under the cure of some medecine that was killing him little by little. It's possible that his personnal doctor was payed by some of his minister that wanted his place. His disease was increasing quicker after july 1944, when he escaped, butcertainly be not without aftermaths, to the bombing of Rastenburg bunker by Von Stauffenberg.

Between March and May 1945, for several times Hitler have been given possibilities to leave berlin or to go in other places. Was there some double of him that could even have replaced him ? Some theoricians have proposed such a possibility after the 20 th july 1944 where he could have been dead. He could have leaved Berlin by plane for many occasions. Kempka said that he was believing thate everywhere in the world he would be, the war shall continue there and he wanted to sink with the ship, like the captain. It could be used in the future for the rebuilt of some new National socialist ideology political party. Some of the reichbank gold bars have been lost in austria by the end of 1945, into the Toplitz lake. If one is a historian and views film footage from the last days of National Socialism, you can clearly see from a medical viewpoint that Hitler was critically ill, showed signs of Parkinson's disease, and from years of drug abuse could not have survived and attempt to escape Berlin with the whole of the Russian Army pointed straight at him.

I feel that Hitler, and Eva Braun DID kill themselves, below the ground of Berlin ! Simply for the fact that Hitler knew all along that he would not have his thousand year Reich, and the german race would not be in control of the world ! In the early 1930s an assasination attempt almost succeeded.

Doubles were already at the ready,and were used more often as time went on.The original Hitler made very few appearances after that,even eva braun had a double. They moved out of the country. To all of you out there who believed Hitler died at the end of WWII, dream on. Don't you people ever use your wits? Seriously, Hitler, believe it or not, was not stupid. He was a military genius. A crazy and brutal one, but none the less brilliant. Hitler had at least a dozen look-a-likes. He used them when he feared that he might be in danger if he publicly appeared himself. He had numerous troops and resources at his command. I am sure that at the end of the war he staged his own and his wife's death using his doubles. His faithful butler would have been only too glad to help his beloved fuhrer. He could have easily escaped disguised at a soldier or peasant. He undoubtedly had escape plans for whatever the situation called for. He certainly did not commit suicide. He did not have the character of one who would just give up and commit suicide because he faced the difficulty of possible defeat. There are 3 possible "endings" to Hitler's death.

1) one possiblity is that Hitler was never found in the bunker and only his divison of the 25th panther generals were there in a solution to defend Berlin. When the "Allies" got to the bunker they knew they lost the war, because they had not found the man behind the whole war. knowing this, the allies take a look a like of adolf hitler (which was a prisoner captured in april of 1944) and burned him. They used him to tell the whole world that Hitler was died. The generals in the bunker were given the option of backing up the story and if they did they would be relaesd and protected by the US govenment and if they did not they would be shot on the spot to make examples out of them.

2) Another "theory" is that Hitler died well fighting for Berlin. He knew that more planning was not going to make any good so he went and fought. He died in the capital, maybe even burned becsue of the bombs. So his body could not be "noticed"

3) One other solution is that Hitler refused to leave the bunker and his followers insisted that he would take the underground tunnels that would lead him to the secret base that had a submarine waiting to take hitler. The submarine was headed for Svaldard, Norway. There a disgised american plane would take him to Morocco. From Morocco they would go to Liberia, from there a allied plane was waiting to take him to SA.

This plan was made by George W Bush's father, Walker W. Bush and other Nazi Generals. Walker was Hitlers close friend as he help Nazi spyies enter America and he would finaciially help Hitler.

Why should he shot himself?

M. Bormann got away (I do not think anybody is doubting that). So why should he have stayed? Bormann created all the necessary links to South America well before the end of the war. Bormann must have been one of the closest persons to Hitler, particular during his last days in Berlin. he was in charge of all the finances of the NSDAP and has been transfering money to Argentina and Brazil since 1943.

Nobody found really evidence that the corps found by the Russians belonged to Hitler.

Since 1990 the exact bury-ground of Hitler has been known to german intelligences, but apparently nobody bothered to exhume or make any kind of DNA-testing on it. lots of money gone and not a bit of evidence that Hitler really died '45 in Berlin.

Seriously, it's obvious that Hitler wanted to die. He read about how Mussolini was hanged upside down and made a note on the margin of the text, showing how it shook him. He was aware of the popular joke from 1939's Poland, stating that "when the war is over, Hitler will be put in cage and shown in every city and village all over Europe", and he was even more aware of the fact that the joke traveled to Russia and was taken more seriously there - as a suggestion rather than a joke. How convenient it is: Hitler is supposedly dead but no skeleton or other remains exist. At the last moments of the war, the U.S. allows the Soviets to take Berlin, forever distancing America and England from the question of what happened to Hitler. The Fuherbunker is destroyed but there the answer to the mystery most likely is. Hitler simply went through a trap door into a tunnel. The tunnel passed a series of "safe houses" where Hitler's appearance was changed dramatically. A light airplane eventually spirited him out of Germany.

I believe there is good evidence that Hitler had made prior arrangments with government authorities in Agentina to escape from Berlin, and take up residence there. The double suicide was proable a clever deception to throw the allies off base. In the end, Adolph Hitler,Eva, Martin Borman and a number of minor aides were likely transported by submarine to a port on the coast of Argentina. From there they were secretly driven a well furnished villa in the mountains, where they lived in comfort for a number of years. Food and supplies were undoubtedly supplied by an arm of the government. It is well known that many in the government of Argentina at that time were in agreement with the Nazi philosophy. Hitler was viewed as a friend who had tried and failed in his mission of world conquest. At some date in the future, the truth will be revealed in released government documents, but this may take a hundred or more years. At any rate, Hitler was a survivor and it is not credible to accept the notion that he ended his own life. This would have been the ultimate admission of defeat. Hitler did not believe in defeat.

I beleive that it is most unlikely that a master tactitian such as Hitler would not have been able to secure his own escape from that hopeless situation at the end of the war. I suspect that Hitler had left Berlin long before the end and was probably already comfortably positioned to manipulate the last days of the reich without danger to himself. There are already many theories as to the real identity of the corpses that were found. I for one suspect that Braun's corpse was real, but that Hitler's may well have been a stand-in.

Hitler left Berlin before the allies and russians invaded it. He wouldn't go to South America because it would be much to risky. He went north to an island of the coast of Norway, being close, but not to close to germany. The Allies would never expect him to flee there. He didnt travel by plane, that would be to suspicious. He traveled underground, and then went the rest of the way by submarine. Once he arrived to the island off of Norway, there was already a medium sized underground base waiting for him (this being completely setup many months before the war ended). From there, Hitler would be safe for many years.

He attempted to reverse the aging process many times but failed. He tried carrying out most of his experiments from where he was. One that was high priority was the rasing of the dead. He tried this many times, and almost succeeded at one attempt, but it went horribly wrong. Odd things happened during these experiments, some very hard to explain, but they were attempted and almost worked. After nearly 5 years, Hitler knew the CIA was on to him so he decided to destroy the base, and leave no evidence that any of this was going on after the war. And this was what the Allies were trying to "cover-up" all of these years.
