Feminists blame all men for Breivik massacre




In the latest edition of Norwegian feminist journal «Fett» [Fat], editors Kristina Leganger Iversen and Charlotte Myrbraaten let their political editor Marte Mesna conduct an «analytical deepdive» into the Breivik case. But their shallow analysis ends up blaming all men for the Breivik massacre and terror.

You would perhaps think that 14 months after the dreadful summer terror bombing and massacre, their analysis would go further than just determining the gender of the now convicted perpetrator Anders Behring Breivik. That they would have read the 22/7 Commission Report and the Breivik verdict. That sort of thing. But no.

Marte Mesna’s article is rubber-stamped «Mannen» [The Man], so it’s about all men and any man, and she even calls Breivik a «man-activist». Further, Breivik’s thoughts are not feminist thoughts, and thus he must hate women, according to Mesna.

While she may be right in one or two of her assumptions above, eg. that Breivik is a man, Mesna completely leaves out the most stunning revelations of the 22/7 Commission Report, pertaining especially to women and to certain men’s disrespect for women. Presumably, that’s what happens when your eager to further your stubborn ideological agenda is greater than your curiosity and your will to find out what really happened.

Norwegian professors of peace and conflict studies, Ola Tunander and Johan Galtung, should also be mentioned: These brave, learned men have been the subjects of such ridicule and such vitriol in return for their contributions to solving the terror enigma of 22/7, that any decent feminist past puberty should be able to identify them as victims of all the five control techniques, famously defined by Norwegian feminist Berit Ås in 1979, and then some.

Now, I mentioned the most stunning revelations of the 22/7 Commission Report, pertaining especially to women and to certain men’s disrespect for women. Why they are not included in this alleged «analytical deepdive» into the Breivik case, I don’t know. Maybe feminist editors just don’t appreciate death threats? Or maybe they feel a strong disinclination to having the Oslo Police Department interfering with and demanding changes to their articles?

* The policewoman in charge of the Oslo PD Operations HQ – previously referred to as «Britt» – was told on 22/7 that a DELTA squad anti-terror drill was going on, but was not informed that the terror bomb outside the Prime Minister’s Office was real life.
* She told the 22/7 Commission how she thought the terror attack was a police exercise and therefore didn’t consider mobilising the Local Rescue Central (LRS).
* The 22/7 Commission Report left this info as a footnote (did they forget to censor it?), but censored every mention of the 5-day DELTA anti-terror drill running from Monday 18 July through Friday 22 July.
* Chief of Police Sveinung Sponheim ordered her to phone up all his staff members one by one instead of doing her job, which was to direct the police operation strategically, and to be on top of and ahead of the events, like planning for prevention of escape or secondary attacks.
* Chief of Staff Johan Fredriksen lets his staff assume control and authority over her as they arrive, creating blurred command lines during the most crucial minutes. Fredriksen also turns down requests for police helicopter twice before massacre from DELTA Commander in his own office.
* Field Commander Anonymous: Orders DELTA to do fire brigade tasks instead of preventive anti-terror work, turns down the escape car registration plate number info as «too vague», and sidelines this female operation leader.
* DELTA Commander Snortheimsmoen: Waits until at least 4.30 pm before requesting to Chief of Staff Fredriksen – in the very same office – to use the Oslo PD helicopter, then waits until 6.14 pm before informally requesting military Bell helicopters from nearby Rygge Airport.

A grim picture thus emerges of a female Operation Leader who is deliberately kept completely in the dark by a Boys’ Club – a network of gentlemen – who won’t let her handle her all-important job for the first 60 minutes after the bomb blast. They even let her think it is an anti-terror exercise! And instead, these 5-6 men from the Army and the Police handle things, quite catastrophically, as if by design.
