Shared "British-Saudi" Values

The current UK visit of Abdullah ibn al-Saud has received much criticism from politicians and commentators, especially due to the "red carpet" treatment he has received from the government. This was epitomised by the praise he received from Foreign Office minister Kim Howells who flattered his guest by referring to the "shared values" between Britain and Saudi Arabia.


There has been much debate about defining British values in recent years. The sad fact is that what successive British and Saudi governments share is the common value of putting their interests ahead of their espoused principles. Indeed, they have a common interest in maintaining the colonial relationship between Britain and the Muslim world, a relationship that soils both parties, embarrasses the British public and causes real hardship, oppression and resentment iin the Muslim masses.

It is for this reason that Muslims desire to see the return of the Islamic Khilafah to rid the region of the despotism enjoyed largely by defence contractors, oil companies and the Saudi ruling class alone. It is for that reason that they look upon the western support for these tyrants with such distaste.



We have compiled a list of examples that demonstrate the common values shared by British and Saudi governments of the past and present. There is a striking convergence of interests:



1. The UK and Saudi leaderships are working hand in hand in the so-called war on terror - which most Muslims view as a war on Islam - which has resulted in the death, torture and false imprisonment of innocents.



2. The UK and Saudi leaderships actively co-operated with the US in the invasion of Iraq that has led to hundreds of thousands dead, a refugee and humanitarian crisis with the very real prospect of the conflict spilling into Turkey and the division of Iraq.



3. The UK and Saudi leaderships agreed in the UN to attack and invade Afghanistan



4. The UK and Saudi leaderships agreed for UK and US planes to use Saudi air bases to attack Iraq during the period of sanction and to enforce the no-fly zone following the Gulf war in 1991



5. The UK and Saudi leaderships sent armies as part of the coalition that fought in the first Gulf War in 1991.



6. The UK and Saudi leaderships have collectively plundered the strategic energy resources of the Muslim Ummah including the Yamamah Defence Programme



7. The UK and Saudi leaderships obstructed the formal investigation by the Serious Fraud Office into corruption and bribery in multi-billion pound defence order contracts between the two countries



8. The UK and Saudi leaderships both spy upon the Muslims when they go for pilgrimage to Mecca


9. The UK and Saudi leaderships have been active to promoting the formal political recognition of Israel in the Meccan accord.


10. The UK and Saudi leaderships worked to incite Arabs to rebel against the Ottoman Khilafah state ultimately resulting in its destruction in 1924, and are actively working to see that the Khilafah does not re-emerge.


We hope that others join us in calling for the end to these unethical and hypocritical relationships between western governments and despotic regimes in the Muslim world. Not by invading the countries and taking direct control, as with Iraq, but by simply ending their chronic interference.

US and Britain send Bhutto to save Pakistan's ailing dictator

London, UK, October 18, 2007 - The return of former Pakistani PM Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan has been orchestrated by Western governments in order to salvage Pakistan's ailing dictator, General Musharraf, who has been a loyal servant in the 'war on terror'.

Commenting on Bhutto's return, Dr Imran Waheed, media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain, said, "While Bhutto today claimed that 'this is the beginning of a journey for a better future for all the people of Pakistan', it is evident that her return to Pakistan has been orchestrated by the US and Britain to save Musharraf. They have arranged the unholy political marriage between the woman who presided over the most corrupt regime in Pakistan's history and the man who has the greatest record of betrayal in its history."

"The motive behind the return of Bhutto, under the cover of restoring a semblance of a democratic process, is to aid Musharraf in his campaign to stem the tide of Islam and its growing influence within Pakistan."

"Pakistan needs real change that will never be delivered by politicians and generals who outsource their politics to Washington and London. It is not sufficient to change from military leaders to political leaders without changing the underlying political system that has brought Pakistan to its knees. It is only the Caliphate that can take power away from the feudal landowners and the rich industrialists, implement a real rule of law, produce economic prosperity for the many and not the few and ensure political decisions on the future of Pakistan are made in Islamabad not London or Washington."

The US & UK Neocon's-Anti-Islamic Rhetoric and War Mongering Against Iran Will Only Bring About Further Global Polarisation and Instability

This week the old war mongering alliance of George Bush and Tony Blair hit the front pages with both stoking up the prospects of military confrontation with Iran.

In a press interview on Wednesday George Bush said: "I've told people that if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them (Iran) from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon." Although not stating that military action against Iran's nuclear facilities was imminent, Bush's statement was clearly aimed to build the justification for future action either by the US or its local proxy Israel.

Just a day later, as if synchronised, his old ally Tony Blair speaking at a charity event in New York accused Iran of fuelling a "deadly ideology" of Muslim extremism by supporting terrorist organisations. He said: "This ideology now has a state, Iran, that is prepared to back and finance terror in the pursuit of destabilising countries whose people wish to live in peace." Likening the rise of Islam to the rise of fascism in Europe in the 1930's, Tony Blair echoed the sentiments of David Cameron who used a similar analogy by comparing the rise of political Islam with Nazi fascism. Cameron stated in 2005 "The driving force behind today's terrorist threat is Islamist fundamentalism. The struggle we are engaged in is, at root, ideological. During the last century a strain of Islamist thinking has developed which, like other totalitarianisms, such as Nazism and Communism, offers its followers a form of redemption through violence."

It is not surprising to hear such inflammatory statements from these politicians as each has described himself as a friend of Israel and espouses a Neocon, secular supremacist view towards Middle East politics and the Iraq occupation. This Neocon rhetoric from within the US & UK is vehemently anti-Islamic and in total denial of the popular momentum for the return of Islamic governance in the Muslim world. A recent poll conducted by academics at the University of Maryland indicated that support for the strict application of the Shariah and political unification under a Caliphate in six Muslim countries averaged at 70%. Support for resistance movements such as Hezbollah and Hamas, who are regarded as terrorist entities by the US & UK, is also widespread as the election of Hamas to government in occupied Palestine has shown. The view among Muslims globally towards the US & UK is that an overwhelming majority consider both countries as having foreign policies that are anti-Islam and pro-Israel. The appointment of Tony Blair as chairman of the Middle East quartet, with his track record of spilling Muslim blood, will only alienate the Muslim masses further and reinforce the view that the West has no intention of acting as an honest and impartial broker in the Middle East.

It is ironic that after the invasion and occupation of two Muslim countries since 2001 causing the mass killings of hundreds of thousands of civilians, the imposition of puppet regimes and un-Islamic constitutions based upon the principles of western democratic values, the Neocons of the US and UK refer to popular Islamic movements as either terrorists or Nazis. Rather, it is the inability of the Neocon mindset to recognise their own fascist credentials including their policy of demonising Islam and their support for torture and detention without trial, which is the true hallmark of 1930's European fascism.

It is imperative for Muslims and all genuine people of conscience to stand against the rise of this new tyranny of our age and to work to bring about it's demise. Through the application of sublime Islamic justice, the return of the Islamic Caliphate will herald a new age of global justice and stability and will bring an end to the Neocon fascism that has taken root in international affairs.

NATIONAL MARCH: Huge Demonstration Calls for Action Against Israel 's Massacre of Lebanon

Thousands of Muslims from across the UK marched today in London. The demonstrators issued a strong call to the armies of the Muslim world to move to defend the people of the region from the ongoing Israeli massacre that has been tacitly supported by Western governments and the dictators of the Muslim world. The march was organised by the Islamic political party Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain and supported by several organisations .

Demonstrators condemned the rulers of the Muslim world for their complicity in Israel 's crimes through their silence and inaction and called for the armies of Muslim countries to defend the people from this massacre and unify the Muslim world through the re-establishment of the Islamic Khilafah.

The huge demonstration was addressed by several speakers before marching down Edgware road (the heart of the arab community) and coming to an end at the Regents Park Mosque.

Open Letter to Musharraf, the President of Pakistan


بِسْمِ الله الرَّحمَنِ الرَحيم

Open Letter from Hizb ut-Tahrir to Musharraf, the President of Pakistan

Peace be upon those who tread the path of guidance,
Mr. President,

We have decided to send you this letter on the occasion of the holding of Presidential elections.
We convey our advice to you following the example of RasulAllah سلم و عليه الله صلى, who advised several leaders of the Qur'aish while fully aware of the fact that they will neither heed guidance nor follow the true deen. This action of RasulAllah سلم و عليه الله صلى was in accordance with the command of Allah سبحانه وتعالى,

لِمَ تَعِظُونَ قَوْمًا اللَّهُ مُهْلِكُهُمْ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُهُمْ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا قَالُوا مَعْذِرَةً إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ وَلَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ[ [الأعراف:164
“And when a community among them said: "Why do you preach to a people whom Allah is about to destroy or to punish with a severe torment?" (The preachers) said: "In order to be free from guilt before your Lord (Allah), and perhaps they may fear Allah." [Surah al-A'raf 7:164]

Accordingly, we advise you to seek forgiveness from Allah سبحانه وتعالى on the Day when all souls will be brought forth to Him سبحانه وتعالى. And we pray to Allah سبحانه وتعالى that you become one who fears Him سبحانه وتعالى and that you seek guidance.

Mr. President,
You served your rule so far to spread the colonialist influence of the kuffar, especially that of America in this Islamic Land, increasing the slavery of the Muslims and undermining their deen. The following are just some of the crimes you committed to establish the kuffar over the Muslims:

· With regards to authority, whose origin lies with the Muslims and which is their right to grant to whomever they choose, you resorted to ruling by force and with the support of the colonialists, specifically America. This weakened your position over the Muslims as the nature of Islam, which is in their hearts and minds, prevents them from submitting to the oppressor forever. Over time your rule weakened so much that your colonialist masters, the Americans, were forced to seek the support of their competitors in the affairs of Pakistan, the British. This is why you found yourselves suddenly having to scramble for a deal with your bitterest rivals, those whom you vowed to keep out of rule, denouncing them as looters and plunderers.

· With regards to the lands of the Muslims, you created conditions whereby the Americans established a new military presence in the region, which gave them an advantage over the Muslims of South and Central Asia. You sacrificed hundreds of Muslim soldiers to protect the American occupation from the Muslim resistance in the tribal areas. You abandoned the Muslims of Kashmir, declaring Jihad against the Hindu occupying forces as a crime.

· With regards to the resources of the Muslims, at the behest of the colonialist financial institutions, you passed on the ownership of energy resources to private interests, burdening the public with rising costs of petrol, gas and electricity and strangling Pakistan's industrial and agricultural activity. In submission to the colonialist, you burdened the people with oppressive taxes such as GST, which placed heavier burdens upon the people. You created conditions for the transfer of vital and strategic projects like the oil and gas extraction to the kuffar. You took loans from the colonialist financial institutions thereby allowing them to wield more influence.

· With regards to the deen of the Muslims, you launched a campaign against the youth to seduce them away from the deen by spreading the corrupt Western values through educational reforms, cultural activities and media propaganda. You oversaw the slaying of the elderly, women and children in Lal Masjid so as to make them an example for the Muslims of Pakistan, who dearly desire the implementation of Islam. You resorted to spying and imprisonment of the youth of Hizb ut-Tahrir just because they invite people to Islam, banning Hizb ut-Tahrir and putting obstacles in the way of the court proceedings to remove the ban.
These were just some of the major crimes you committed, though we know of many others, including those that you worked hard to conceal from the people. Moreover, we felt it is unnecessary to reveal to the people your corrupted belief, for the evil by which they are touched through your actions is enough for them to know. And throughout your perpetration of all these crimes, you fell into the fire of becoming one with the kuffar even though Allah سبحانه وتعالى warned oppressors like you that,

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَتَّخِذُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى أَوْلِيَاءَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ (المائدة: 51)
"O you who believe do not take the Jews and Christians as allies, they are allies to each other and those of you that take allies from them are indeed of them and Allah does not guide the oppressors" (Surah al-Maida 5:51)

We therefore call upon you to repent the misdeeds that you committed in your rule so far and seek forgiveness from your Lord سبحانه وتعالى for the heinous acts committed. The very least that you can do in the hope of atoning for your sins, is to make way for the sincere and capable to succeed you in ruling. If not then you are destined to humiliation at the hands of the Ummah when the Khilafah is re-established, soon by the will of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, and what is even worse for you is the severe punishment in the hereafter. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says,

وَلاَ تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلاً عَمَّا يَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنَّمَا يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ لِيَوْمٍ تَشْخَصُ فِيهِ الأَبْصَارُ + مُهْطِعِينَ مُقْنِعِي رُءُوسِهِمْ لاَ يَرْتَدُّ إِلَيْهِمْ طَرْفُهُمْ وَأَفْئِدَتُهُمْ هَوَاءٌ[ [إبراهيم:42,43
“Consider not that Allah is unaware of that which the Zalimun (opressors) do, but He gives them respite up to a Day when the eyes will stare in horror. (They will be) hastening forward with necks outstretched, their heads raised up (towards the sky), their gaze returning not towards them and their hearts empty (from thinking because of extreme fear).” [Surah Ibrahim 14:42 & 43]

O Allah سبحانه وتعالى bear witness that we conveyed!

وَمَا عَلَيْنَا إِلاَّ الْبَلاَغُ الْمُبِينُ
“And our duty is only to convey clearly (the Message)” (Surah Ya-Sin 36:17)
