Think about that for a moment.

If elements within the sôle remaining superpower could not organise such a thing, could Osama bin Laden and his merry men do such from a cave in Afghanistan?

Perhaps, you really think that the Dubya Administration could not be morally capable of such an atrocity.

And that's to your credit actually. That may be because you are morally incapable of any such thing.

I'll admit the same "moral" objection kept me from questioning the offically-approved conspiracy theory promugated by the West Wing, the Omission Commission and the docile media... until I saw the photos from Abu Ghraib.

As scary as it is, start thinking like the neo-cons (without agreeing with them!), then you'll understand that they are morally, as well as physically, capable.

Well IF they wanted to they could have dealt with the Katarina aftermath. But they didn't want to. Instead they saw a great oportunity to rob a poor mainly black population living in old run down housings of important industrial ground and harbour.

Just as once Oklahoma was set on fire so that the industrial magnats could rebuild the burnt down town to meet their needs.

Or as Nero burnt down parts of Rome to build him a garden park.
