JOLLY ROGER TEMPLAR/JESUIT FLAG




The Jolly Roger is the name given to any of various flags flown to identify a ship's
crew as pirates. The flag most usually identified as the Jolly Roger today is the skull
and crossbones, being a flag consisting of a skull above two tibiae set in an x-mark
arrangement on a black field.

In his self-published book Pirates & The Lost Templar Fleet, David Hatcher
Childress claims that the flag was named after the first man to fly it, King Roger II
of Sicily (c.1095-1154). Roger was a famed Templar and the Knights Of The Temple
were in conflict with the Pope over his conquests of Apulia and Salerno in 1127.
Childress claims that, many years later, after the Templars had been disbanded by
the church, at least one Templar fleet split into four independent flotillas dedicated to
pirating ships of any country sympathetic to Rome. If this is so, then the flag was
an inheritance, its crossed bones a reference to the original Templar logo of a red
cross with blunted ends. However, as shown below, many Jolly Rogers did not have
crossed bones.

Also, a Masonic legend speaks of three Templars searching the site of Jacques de
Molay's burning and finding only his skull and femurs. These they took with them
and allegedly were used as the impetus to create the first Jolly Roger flag of Piracy,
so that they would never forget.

It is documented that groups as the Sandinistas, the Fascist Black Shirts of
Mussolini, the Anarchist movement, the Getapo and SS of Hitler, etc, used this flag.

Ska man undvika en färg bör det nog vara den röda va? Har svårt o tänka mig en "fana" som har starkare band med historien på både gott och ont.

Det var mest ironiskt skrivet. Jag antar att det är bra med ett parti som går emot "elitens" kontrollerande och skulle nog stjälv lägga min röst i mer piratpartiets rikting. Men vem vet vilka ideer som kan "reinkarneras" genom olika rörelser?
