Vissa kan sjunga, andra kan sjunga som man känner det, o de e väl de som e sång tycker jag. Perfektionen gör det inte, men kopplingen till pumpen :)

Jag spelade klippet och blev rörd till tårar. Jag kan fortfarande inte få stopp på tårarna när jag ser klippet om och om igen. Så många känslor, individuellt och kollektivt, är loss från sina år i fångenskap när jag ser denna så kallade vanliga kvinna promenera av scenen. Lägg märke till hur programmerad publiken beter sig innan Susan Boyle börjar och hur man cyniskt väntar sig något helt annat. Amanda Holden uttryckte det väl.
Det här är en väckarklocka för alla som är programmerade med allehanda fördomar. Fördomar som vi får utav ett sjukt samhälle med sjuka normer.

I played the clip and within a minute or so I was blubbering uncontrollably. I still can’t watch it all these days later without the tears pouring down my face. I can’t help it – and I don’t want to help it. I find it very cathartic.

So many emotions, personal and collective, are unleashed from their years of captivity whenever I see this so-called ‘ordinary woman’ walk onto the stage amid the laughter, the giggles and the rolling eyes, and just give it to them ...

... One of the other extraordinary aspects of the Susan Boyle performance was how quickly the audience changed their reaction – point of observation – when she confounded their pre-conceptions by the sheer power and beauty of her voice.

To complete the ‘package’ of pre-conceived ideas (programming) they all waited for her to open her mouth and for a karaoke cackle to deliver the cat’s chorus. You can feel them almost wincing in anticipation at what their ears were about to endure.

Part of the initial counter-reaction was the shock at what they actually heard, but something much deeper followed and it was well expressed by Amanda Holden. It was a wake-up call. Rarely have pre-conceptions been so immediately and profoundly trounced as they were that day in Glasgow.

One clip alone of the performance on Youtube had passed 12 million hits the last time I looked and it has had a massive impact because it says something that people need to hear, and, in truth, want to hear.

It says there is no such thing as a nobody and that includes you, whoever you are. It says do not judge yourself or others by the standards and filters that you are programmed to worship by a system with a fundamental self-interest in dictating the way you see the world.

it breaks my heart to look at those faces in the begining of the video when she gets up on stage. is this really what society has come to? i mean okay so she doesnt exactly look like a super model, but before she even began people had made up their minds that she wasnt going to be good just because of her looks.



I was like the rest expecting the talent not to be there based on the looks but after hearing the voice of Susan Boyle I will never make that mistake again. I have listened to this rendition at least 100 times over the last 5 days and still see a beautiful shining spirit that is showing the world what is really hidden within. I am honored to have been able to listen to your beautiful inspiring voice. Thank you Susan Boyle from a humbled fan




Here in America we really needed a story like this... I am sure in Britain and everywhere else!! I can wait to see here next performance What a voice!!



You prove that you can not judge a book by it's cover and should be very proud of yourself! You are an inspiration to all of us middle aged women who think they are dreaming the impossible and are scared to get out and show the world what we are capable of! Congratulations Susan!!!!!!!
