Soaked In Bleach depicts the events surrounding the death of Kurt Cobain as seen through the eyes of Tom Grant, a private investigator hired by Courtney Love to track down her missing husband (Kurt Cobain), who was found dead in their home just a few days later. Kurt Cobain’s death was immediately ruled a suicide (self-inflicted gunshot wound) by the police. Doubts about this suicide have circulated for a long time, particularly due to the investigative work of a former LA County detective who conducted his own inquiry and concluded that there was significant evidence and indications to suggest that foul play and murder may very well have occurred. The documentary retells the story with cinematic reenactments, audio recordings, interviews with experts and witnesses, and closer examinations of official items from the 1994 investigation into the alleged suicide.
